INTRO with RECAP
Welcome to part-2 of my blog series “GENIUS of Alumina mind”. In part-1 we studied in-depth about 'how will an alum. person behave when he is confused ?', 'what aggravates/ameliorates alum. confusion ?', 'characteristic expressions of alumina confusions in the form of symptoms ?', etc... We also learnt about 'how to grasp the genius of any remedy' as well as 'how to study a single rubric in a holistic manner'.
If you haven't go through part-1 yet, then
Now, as we discussed earlier, a unique series of symptoms are produced in Alumina personality both at intellectual and emotional level. We will study all these unique aspects of Alumina personality in-depth in each upcoming parts of my blog series.

You won't find a single rubric (except lower grade and rubric size > 300 remedies) outside of the above mentioned. In a way, all these rubrics represents sad/dejected/grief/weeping tendency of alumina personality.
CONFIRMATION & CO-RELATION of rubrics
Now, let us see the confirmation and co-relation of all these rubrics from our source books. Refer to rubric no. mentioned above for no. written in bracket after each symptom of materia medica e.g. Refer rubric no. 9, 10 and 19 from above list of 29 rubrics for symptom 'great changeableness in his mental moods. (9,10,19)'.
NOTE : Rubrics no. associated beside each symptom are as per best of my understanding ; they may not be exact and complete. There is always a chance of 'better perfect'.

She is constantly possessed by bad thoughts, which oblige her to weep; at the same time she feels apprehensive and uneasy as if something evil were to happen to her; everything that she only looks at, fills her with sadness(eleventh day). (7,8,17,22,24)
I have not assigned rubrics for some of the symptoms. Homoeopaths can share their point of views regarding selection of rubrics for such symptoms in the comment section of this blog post.
Here, I would like to mention that I have thouroughly gone through all the mind symptoms of alumina from all 3 source books. Only those symptoms are mentioned in this blog post which expresses sad/grief/dejected/weeping tendency of alumina personality. Moreover, I have discarded the name of provers which is mentioned after each symptom in original source books. I found the following excerpt interesting from the huge book materia medica viva.
GEORGE VITHOULKAS on Alumina depression
The Alumina depression can be described as a "gloominess" ; there is no light. The patient complains to the doctor, but not in a burdensome way. He does not express his despair to the doctor; instead it is incumbent upon the doctor to see, to observe the despair in the demeanor of the patient. His disease has slowly progressed and has become so deeply ingrained that he sees no possibility of recovery. He wants to be alone, undisturbed by people; his inability to cope with, to process the sensory stimulation underlies this aversion to company. A feeling of unreality prevails, and despairing, he resigns himself to his condition.
